Visit Orlando Launches New “unbelievably Real” Campaign At Imex America 2022

ORLANDO, Fla. – Visit Orlando, The Official Tourism Association ®for Orlando launched a new destination brand at IMEX America 2022 to promote the Orlando region to the meetings and conventions market.

The new “Unbelievably Real” brand platform is the product of a first-of-its-kind partnership between Visit Orlando and Orlando Economic Partnership, the economic and community development organization for the region, and creates one singular, comprehensive, and consistent brand.

“With Visit Orlando and Orlando Economic Partnership collaborating, we can connect with all our target audiences through a consistent brand message,” said Casandra Matej, president and CEO of Visit Orlando. “Unbelievably Real combines what is both fantastical and authentic about our unique destination to tell a holistic story to leisure visitors and meeting planners, site selectors, residents and prospective talent.”

Starting today, meetings-focused advertising showcasing everything Orlando has to offer to meet planners – from unique venues at Orlando’s theme parks to outdoor teambuilding adventures and world-class dining – will run across digital and social channels and key trade media.

The campaign is one of several meeting-focused initiatives in Orlando including a tech-infused planning service, an elevated healthy meeting program, transportation advancements, and award-winning dining to entice planners to bring their groups to Orlando.

Enhanced Virtual Tours of Orlando

Already a leader in innovative meeting planning services, Visit Orlando has further enhanced its live virtual site inspection platform. Orlando Virtual Tours offers meeting planners the opportunity to seamlessly travel to more than 1,100 locations throughout the city.

Authentic location imagery provides a real-world view of world-class resort hotels, unique meeting spaces, exclusive off-site venues, and world-famous theme parks. Details of each location are easily accessed during the tour. Planners also have the option to go exploring on their own, guided by aerial perspectives, or can schedule a personal live guided virtual inspection with a Visit Orlando destination expert.

Elevated Health Services for Groups

Visit Orlando and Orlando Health, a not-for-profit healthcare organization that serves the southeastern United States, have joined forces to create a unique partnership. The new alliance designates Orlando Health as the Official Health and Wellness Partner of Visit Orlando and offers health-related benefits for the millions of visitors – including meeting and convention attendees — who help make Orlando the most visited destination in the United States and Theme Park Capital of the World.

While offering benefits for leisure travellers, the partnership provides specifically for event planners customizable health solutions for their conference and attendees through an Orlando Health Virtual Care Center, which will open later this year at the Orange County Convention Center. Located in the west concourse on the first floor near the Visit Orlando Welcome Center, medical providers will be available via virtual visit 24 hours a day. During major conventions, the clinic will be staffed by Orlando Health clinicians.

Additionally, a newly established concierge telephone number is accessible for visitor-specific wellness tips and individualized health resources. That number is 321-265-4200. The line was created to help connect visitors who may need access to local medical resources such as emergency care, urgent care or even access to a virtual visit while visiting Orlando.

Increased Ease of Accessibility in and out of Orlando

It’s now even easier to travel to and from Orlando with the recent opening of Orlando International Airport’s South Terminal Complex. The new facility adds 15 gates and includes a seamless, low-touch environment with a state-of-the-art radio frequency baggage system, numerous shops, restaurants and lounge facilities.

The terminal also includes the Intermodal Terminal Facility (ITF), which is designed to accommodate up to three train systems including the high-speed Brightline train. Brightline’s Orlando extension construction is nearly complete and expected to reach substantial completion by the end of 2022. Trains are expected to begin to carry passengers from Miami to Orlando International Airport in early 2023.

Orlando’s Dining Scene Evolves with MICHELIN Guide Recognition

Dining options play a key role in a group’s destination decision. Orlando already offers planners an exceptional culinary community to consider and now it has evolved even further after being recognized with one of the world’s highest culinary honours.

This year, the inaugural edition of the MICHELIN Guide Miami, Orlando and Tampa was revealed, with inspectors identifying four MICHELIN Starred restaurants in Orlando alone, along with notable mentions for Bib Gourmand (7) and Recommended (22) restaurants further distinguishing the destination’s culinary reputation.
