Varanasi-bound IndiGo flight makes emergency landing in Hyderabad, Telangana

Varanasi bound IndiGo flight, 6E897, from Bengaluru having 137 passengers onboard was forced to make an emergency landing at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport at Shamshabad in Telangana today (April 4) at 6:15 am due to a technical issue, the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) said.

All 137 passengers on board the flight is confirmed to be safe.

A senior official has reported that the DGCA has launched an investigation into the matter, while further information regarding the incident is still pending.

The airline has also provided an alternative aircraft for the passengers to continue their journey to Varanasi.
