The US government mulls on to impose new COVID-19 measures on travelers from China after the recent reports of a covid surge in china.

“There are mounting concerns in the international community on the ongoing COVID-19 surges in China and the lack of transparent data, including viral genomic sequence data, being reported from the PRC,” U.S. officials said in a statement on Tuesday (Dec 27).

Recently Japan, India, and Taiwan stepped-up rules on travelers from China citing a rise in infections there.
