IATA - Travel Demand in July Remains Strong

UIA likely to resume flights to Athens

Ukraine International Airlines plans to resume regular flights to the capital of Greece from June 18, 2021. After a long pause due to the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic, the new flight programme to Athens will include flights on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays on the following schedule:

  • Kyiv (KBP) – Athens (ATH): departure at 10:35 (local time) – arrival at 13:10 (local time)
  • Athens (ATH) – Kyiv (KBP): departure at 14:05 (local time) – arrival at 16:40 (local time)

The current flight schedule of UIA allows passengers traveling from Athens to use convenient connections at the base airport Boryspil for flights to Baku, Tbilisi, Yerevan, Batumi, and key regions of Ukraine (Odesa, Kherson, Lviv, Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhia). Conversely, travelers from these regions will be able to fly on UIA planes to Europe with connections in Kyiv.

Before the launch of regular flights, starting from June 4, the UIA charter program to the resort areas of Greece will be available for Ukrainian tourists: Heraklion, Thessaloniki, and Rhodes.
