In the fresh travel guidelines, the Turkish Embassy said that the passengers travelling from India to Turkey will no longer be subjected to a mandatory 14-day quarantine rule from Saturday (September 4). Travellers that have spent time over the prior 15 days time in India to their arrival to Turkey will be subject to present a negative COVID-19 PCR test result is taken at most 72 hours prior to departure.
Passengers who certify that they have received at least 2 doses of vaccine approved for emergency use by WHO or Turkey, provided that at least 14 days have passed since the last dose, will be exempted from mandatory quarantine.
The requirements are not applicable to transit and/or transfer passengers, the embassy said.
There will be no PCR requirement and quarantine for the crew, it said.
Non-vaccinated passengers, who will also have to carry a pre-departure negative RT-PCR certificate, will be subjected to the 14-day quarantine at their residence or any address they declare. On the 10th day of their quarantine, they will have to be tested again, and if negative, they will be released from quarantine. In the absence of a 10th-day test, they will be released from quarantine after 14 days.
Passengers under the age of 12 years will be exempted from the RT-PCR and vaccine certificate requirements.
Since March, all entrants to Turkey have had to submit a mandatory health declaration referred to as the “Entry Form to Turkey,” which is an online form that generates a QR Code and a HES Code. HES, stands for “Hayat Eve Sığar” in Turkish, which translates to “Life Fits into Home” and is Turkey’s COVID-19 tracking app. The form is not required for transit passengers or children under the age of six.
Since regular international scheduled flights have been banned by the Indian government, flights are operating under the air bubble arrangements with a number of countries.Â
