Travelling to Romania from abroad:
Feb.1, 2022: The following Covid prevention measures will be in effect until further notice:
Visitors and residents arriving from any country in the world must enter 5-day quarantine if cannot present one of the following:
— proof of vaccination (complete scheme)
or
— proof of Covid recovery within 180 days
or
— a negative RT-PCT test, performed no more than 72 hours before arrival into Romania.
Exceptions from mandatory quarantine:
~ children 0 to 12 y.o.,
~ youth 12 y.o. — 16 y.o. who can show a negative RT-PCT test,
~ visitors in transit who will be leaving Romania within 24 hours,
~ truck drivers, aeroplane and ship crews.
24 hours or less before entering Romania, visitors and residents need to complete a Passenger Locator Form / Declaration (available in Romanian and English, online).
To qualify for the fully vaccinated traveller exemption, visitors must:
have no signs or symptoms of COVID-19
have received the full series of an accepted COVID-19 vaccine or a combination of accepted vaccines
have received your last dose at least 14 days prior to the day you enter Romania (i.e. if your last dose was on August 1, then August 16 would be the first day that you meet the 14-day condition.
meet all other Romania entry requirements (passport or EU ID, visa if needed).
