Dubai: Lots of measures are being undertaken by Nakheel in preparation for an anticipated increase in visitors to Palm Jumeirah on New Yr’s Eve.

The master developer has stated that it’s working with Dubai Police, Dubai Municipality, and RTA to ensure smooth visitors flow to the island on December 31, as well as prioritize security and comfort.

Guests are encouraged to plan their journeys properly, allowing plenty of time for the commute. The developer is also recommended using public transport like The Palm Monorail or taxis.

Everyday discounts to and from The Pointe can be available with Careem till January 1, 2021, with the code THEPALMFOUNTAIN.

Nakheel can even double its regular number of festive season shuttle buses from Nakheel Mall to The Pointe on New Yr’s Eve, with free rides from 7 pm to 3 am.

In the meantime, all hotels, retail outlets, and restaurants on the island have been requested to schedule catering deliveries early, present enough parking, and inform their visitors to plan their journeys in advance. Meals deliveries can be allowed up to 5 pm.

No permits can be issued for the services of third-party contractors, such as moving companies. Such services will as a substitute be suspended for December 31.

Pedestrian crossings on the Trunk Road at junction 2 (close to Shoreline Apartments Building 5) and junction 4 (Building 10) will shut from 9 pm to 1 am on New Yr’s Eve. Crossings by Buildings 3 and 7 can be open and manned by security personnel.

Members of the public are required to adhere to all Covid-19 health and safety measures at all Nakheel locations, together with The Pointe, Nakheel Mall, and Palm West Beach.
