Dubai spot boost in UK bookings after travel corridor reopened

DUBAI: Travelers between the United Kingdom and Dubai is expected to boost by a third in December as passengers take benefit of the travel corridor.

Bookings for December are “double what we experienced through previous months,” Dubai Airports chief executive officer Paul Griffiths mentioned in an interview with Bloomberg TV.

Getting vaccinated will not be a requirement for passengers to enter the Middle Eastern travel hub, Mr. Griffiths mentioned. It is negative to recommend that being “inoculated is a precursor to journey” however that would change as soon as the vaccine is out there and accessible for the population, he mentioned.

The CEO also mentioned that 65 percent of airlines flying at the beginning of 2020 are back to Dubai Airports.
