Athens: Greek goes into lockdown for one more as the govt. decided a strict lockdown for one-week from Sunday, in a bid to relieve pressure on the health system.
“As our hospitals regularly treating a large number of patients, Since the cases remain high and continued pressure on the health system,” stated government spokesman Stelios Petsas.
“We take all the measures to improve the situation on daily basis in the nation so that we can gradually return to a form of normalcy, and enable our children to return to schools.”
Outlets and companies that opened up in the course of the Christmas holidays, together with hairdressers, nail salons, bookstores, and churches, will now shut down till January 11.
