Americans are so desperate for travel, they’d give up sex, a recent survey reveals

A recent survey conducted by hotel search platform Trivago revealed that 81% of Individuals said that not being able to travel has been one of the worst parts of the coronavirus pandemic. 

The survey, which Trivago released earlier this week, polled more than 2,000 adults within the U.S. and U.K. According to Insider, 1,011 of those surveyed were Americans.

In a release, the company mentioned it created the survey to “see how consumers are planning, dreaming and considering travel in 2021.”

The survey found that Individuals are so desperate for travel that they’d be keen to give things up to take a trip immediately.

Of those polled, 25% of American respondents mentioned they would give up all their savings to travel now and another 48% would give up their jobs.

Some respondents were even prepared to give up some relationships to travel immediately, with 20% saying they would give up their significant other and 38% saying they’d give up sex for a yr.

Given those poll numbers, Trivago mentioned: “It’s clear that travel plays a massive role in our lives and overall happiness.”

In fact, 84% of American respondents mentioned journey is crucial to having a good life. 

Another 56% mentioned they feel “excited” when they think about their first trip after the pandemic.

When individuals do get back to traveling, Trivago found that the top “dream vacation” for 26% of American respondents will be “time with the family and friends I’ve missed.” 

The survey also found that 72% of American respondents mentioned they plan to travel even more than they had in the past once the pandemic is over.
