Permanently ban passengers who disrespect fellow passengers or crew, Delta CEO

Delta New routes from Dallas Love Field open one-stop access to 125 US destinations

 The CEO of Delta Air Lines has made it clear that the carrier will completely ban passengers who disrespect fellow passengers or crew.

CEO Ed Bastian laid down the regulation in a memo despatched to staff Friday, The executive revealed that the airline has already added over 800 people to its no-fly record for refusing to put on obligatory face masks throughout the journey, 

“Please know that respect and civility to others on our planes, at our airports, in our workplaces, and in our society – even when we’ve got differences of opinion – have all the time been a requirement for our people and our clients,” Bastian wrote.

“Those that refuse to show fundamental civility to our people or their fellow passengers should not welcome on Delta. Their actions won’t be tolerated, and they won’t have the privilege of flying our airline ever again.”

“As difficult as things are nowadays, keep in mind that we’re getting nearer to restoration every day because of your laborious work, dedication, and commitment to our values,” he concluded. “Thanks as we keep climbing collectively into 2021.”

Amongst these on its no-fly record, Delta has allegedly kicked the passengers who heckled Sen. Mitt Romney, R-Utah, and Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., at airports during latest incidents, Reuters reports. 

Federal authorities are also stated to have stepped up airport security for members of Congress as they journey to and from Washington, D.C., after the insurrection on the U.S. Capitol building on Jan. 6.

Forward of President-elect Joe Biden’s inauguration on Wednesday, 25,000 Nationwide Guard troops have been sent to D.C. to protect the nation’s capital.
