Americans Willing to travel without restrictions in 2021: Survey

As Cyprus and Portugal reopen to UK tourists, Travel bookings surge

A survey conducted by travel agency Agoda, Travel Pulse reveals that people are willing to travel, hang out with family and friends without any restrictions in the coming days, as still many areas of the nation and world have restrictions to curb the spread of the coronavirus.

Americans are hoping that they’re able to spend at least part of 2021 doing the issues they weren’t allowed to do in 2020.

More particularly, respondents 55-years-and-older mostly responded that they had been wanting forward to touring “unhindered” within the coming yr. In the meantime, respondents within the 25-54 age bracket mentioned they had been hoping to spend time with family and friends.

Vice president of corporate development for Agoda, Tim Hughes, explained, “2020 was yr of survival and of creating the best of it. Regardless of all that struggle and hardship, our research exhibits that there is an international want for the journey, connection, meaning, and spending time with family and friends. Travel will resume ultimately, because, finally, the human wants to travel is unstoppable.

“At Agoda, we believe the future of travel,” he added. “Our research backs this up, confirming that travel is likely one of the top things individuals sit up for in 2021. More than that—people are committed to creating a distinction, touring with individuals who matter, open to extra unplanned, last-minute journeys, and considering the environmental influence they make as they journey.”
