Thousands of flights were cancelled due to massive winter storms in the US

1,100-plus canceled flights across the US as snowstorm crippled colorado

Since Colorado received more than two feet of snow over the weekend, resulting in the cancellation of more than 2,000 flights – including 1,300 on Sunday alone.

As of 1:30 p.m. EDT, the airport had just over 1,000 cancellations, per FlightAware. But it still accounted for the vast majority of the 1,100-plus canceled flights across the country and had the most cancellations of any airport in the world.
