THE Minister of Youth, Sport, Arts and Recreation Kirsty Coventry has ordered that the Zimbabwe Beneath-20 nationwide be allowed to journey to South Africa for the Cosafa match that shall be held from December 3-10.
In an assertion launched this afternoon, the Sports activities and Recreation Fee board chairperson Gerald Mlotshwa mentioned Zifa re-submitted their request for approval following the steering by Minister Coventry concerning their ‘attraction’ whereby they had been suggested to hunt exemption for noncompliance from SRC.
“Pursuant to the attraction by Zifa for the Zimbabwe Soccer Nationwide Beneath-20 (males) participation within the Cosafa match from 3-13 December 2009 in South Africa, the Sports activities and Recreation Fee (SRC) is pleased to announce that the approval for the Beneath-20’s to take part within the Cosafa match has been granted.
The approval was granted by the Ministries of Youth, Sport, Arts, and Recreation at the side of the Wellbeing and Childcare.
Zifa re-submitted their request for approval following the steering by the Minister of Youth, Sport, Arts and Recreation concerning their ‘attraction’ whereby they had been suggested to hunt exemption for noncompliance from SRC.
Zifa shall be required to strictly adhere to each of the Nationwide and Worldwide Protocols for the prevention and containment of Covid-19 given the rise within the variety of confirmed optimistic instances within the nation and internet hosting province.
