He stated “effective from Monday, December 28th, all passengers coming into the nation from the UK and South Africa on direct flights, must use the Nigerian Worldwide Travel Portal to register, fill within the health questionnaire and must upload a negative COVID-19 PCR result with a validity of not more than 5 days and should pay for a COVID PCR test day seven of arrival in the nation without which they will not be allowed to board the flights”.

He noted that a special register can be open at the airports for passengers from these two nations specifically to track and ensure they present for the COVID test on day seven.

The UK and South Africa are nations the place the new variant of the virus is presently causing panic and concern.
