Gaborone — Presidential COVID-19 task force coordinator, Dr. Kereng Masupu has confirmed that inter-zonal travel necessities stay unchanged for the festive season.
In an interview with BOPA yesterday, Dr. Masupu stated one still required a permit to travel throughout zones.
He was responding to stories doing the rounds that one has to be subjected to a COVID-19 test as a prerequisite for traveling throughout zones.
Dr. Masupu stated inter-zonal travelers would only require a permit and therefore these planning to travel during the festive season should apply for one.
“At this juncture, the process for travel stays the same with a allow required to move between zones,” stated Dr. Masupu.
He informed Batswana that changes to set COVID-19 rules had been announced by way of formal communication by the Ministry of Health and Wellness and the task drive through government media platforms.

He stated laws and rules for curbing the spread of coronavirus should be absolutely noticed by travelers.
