Overnight stays reached 48.9 million in June 2022, 60.5 % on the same month a year earlier
WIESBADEN – Germany’s Tourism industry registered a huge surge with the increase in overnight stays of domestic and foreign guests.
On Thursday (Aug 11), The Federal Statistical Office (Destatis) published a report, “the number of overnight stays in accommodation establishments with 10 or more bed places and in tourist campsites having 10 or more pitches increased by 60.5 % to 48.9 million in Germany in June 2022, compared with the corresponding month of the preceding year. Compared with June 2019, the number of overnight stays declined by 3.4 %.”
