The second edition of the Zauberpark music and light festival at Zurich Airport delighted around 30,000 guests with its varied program of light art, music and culinary delights over 18 days. Zauberpark will be held again next year, from 23 November to 10 December 2023.
Accompanied by cool and dry nights, the Zauberpark winter festival delighted many visitors every evening for more than two weeks. The Zauberpark 2022 ended on Sunday evening with the concert of Wanda.

Children and music program
Children’s artists as well as music acts from home and abroad provided entertainment on the Zauberpark stage. This year’s children’s program included performances by children’s songwriter Andrew Bond, Tante Carmen and Dan White. The program was followed by concerts by artists such as Stress, Bastian Baker, Baschi, Steiner & Madlaina and Crimer. The concert of Crimer was translated into sign language in cooperation with Stiftung Denk an mich and performed simultaneously on stage. The music of the Swiss musician could thus be made accessible to numerous visitors with hearing disabilities.
A walk through the park with light installations
On the path through the park, about a dozen new installations by light artists from all over Europe could be discovered in the Zauberpark, curated by the art and design collective NOA (No Ordinary Art Lab AG). This year’s installations included a fire made of LED, dancing spiders and a face that showed different expressions and images through video projection.

Advent at Zurich Airport
Even though the Zauberpark is now closing its doors for this year, Christmas feelings can still be revived. During the Advent season, there are various highlights to experience at Zurich Airport. Until 24 December, the Sparkling Tree and a Christmas village with culinary offerings will be located on the main square at the Circle. With pink raclette, hot chestnuts, apple cakes or mulled wine, and other hot drinks, visitors can continue to get in the mood for the holidays. In addition, visitors can try their hand at bavarian curling on two lanes. The equipment can be rented free of charge on-site. From 17 to 25 December. Visitors can have their gifts wrapped at the parcel table after shopping at Airport Shopping. This is located on level 0 opposite Orell Füssli.
