The Red Sea Jazz Festival Winter Edition – February 23-25, 2023

Israel: The Red Sea Jazz Festival Winter Edition, a fixture on the cultural scene of the Red Sea resort of Eilat, will take place this year from February 23-25. The festival, which is popular with tourists and locals alike and is now in its 12th year, showcases a fascinating combination of local Israeli culture together with the jazz world in all its diversity. During the winter session, the festival takes place in the Isrotel Agamim Hotel.

The Red Sea Jazz Festival was established in 1987 with the aim of further stimulating the already vibrant local jazz scene whilst giving an opportunity to visitors and participants alike to enjoy the Red Sea resort of Eilat.  Orchestrating a brilliant composition of international and Israeli artists, the Red Sea Jazz Festival is highly regarded around the world today. Featuring outstanding original Israeli jazz alongside first-class virtuoso guest jazz artists from around the globe, each evening includes concerts followed by the traditional jam session. The Red Sea Jazz Festival is held in the last weeks of August and in February every year.

In his role as curator and artistic director of the festival, Dubi Lenz has an uncanny ability to identify jazz’s most intriguing names, before they are widely recognized. The three-day festival will feature an eclectic mix of shows, selected once again by Lenz with meticulous precision.

The festival will feature performances by artists from Poland, Brazil, Azerbaijan, Spain, Italy, the United States, Argentina, and Israel, among others. In addition to original productions and new album launches, the festival will feature premiere performances alongside hosting and several surprising connections.Â
