The Red Sea International Jazz Festival Eilat – November 10-12, Eilat Port

After a two-year pandemic-induced hiatus, the Red Sea International Jazz Festival returns to the port in Eilat, the festival’s classic location, for a weekend packed with performances and original productions by leading Israeli and global artists. Under the artistic direction of maestro Yossi Fine, artists from around the world will gather for three days and 18 performances.

Israel: Israeli group THIRD WORLD LOVE will headline the opening show of this, the 36th edition. This one-time reunion show is exclusive to the festival. After nearly a decade of absence from the stage, Yonatan Avishai, Avishai Cohen, Omer Avital, and Daniel Friedman are coming back to play together in the port of Eilat. Jacob Collier, the five-time Grammy award winner who has released four albums, will be joining the festivities in the midst of his global tour. Furthermore, the three-time Grammy award winner, Corey Henry, will perform his famous keyboards in a trio show combining jazz and soul.
In an original festival production, Gidi Gov will feature Alon Oleartchik with non-standard performances of their well-known and beloved hits.

The festival closes with a final show of Maestro Fine, combining artists of all genres, a super-group that will congregate for the first time on the festival stage. Under his direction, Netta Barzilai, Nunu, Echo and Cohen will all come together for a cross-genre celebration of jazz, coupled with hip-hop and the spoken word.

Visitors to Eilat can purchase special passes, giving entry to all the festival shows, as well as master classes and a one-time entry to the Dolphin Reef.  Special package rates are also available at hotels in the resort.

Like every year, the traditional jam sessions for spontaneous and unscripted musical collaborations between the festival’s artists and young stars in the Israeli jazz scene will take place at the Isrotel Agamim Hotel on the Thursday and Friday evenings of the festival. These sessions, which last well into the night, are open to festival-goers and the general public.Â
