Total passenger traffic in June 2022 was 2,564,716 passengers, down 24.6% from the corresponding period in 2019.
Domestic passenger traffic totalled 1,874,412 in June 2022, down 10.6% from the corresponding period in 2019. 690,304 international passengers passed through Sydney Airport in June 2022, down 47.1% from the corresponding period in 2019.
Sydney Airport CEO Geoff Culbert said: “The increasing demand for travel is encouraging but it’s clearly creating challenges for an industry that is still trying to rebuild operationally.
“With the June long weekend and school holiday peak behind us, we will continue to work on our operational recovery alongside our airline partners and each of the 800 organisations across the airport.”
