Easy to reach from the airport and if you are not in a hurry, take the train and head for the Romerberg, a square near the Main River and after that do some shopping at the Zeil, Frankfurts most fashionable pedestrian shopping street.
Munich Germany
Your goal is skiing but since you are here, you need to spend an evening in the city, visiting the beer halls. The formidable one-litre mug is not a joke. Take it and drink as much as you like. Again you have the main square called Marienplatz, but you can visit art museums and go and see a castle or two.
Innsbruck Austria
Already in the Alps, this gateway is the easiest if you want to arrive as close to your final destination as possible. These conditions kept skiers coming from all around the globe, and as many as one and a half million skiers could have enjoyed the slopes over the course of the season.
