Singapore Heath Ministry issued Press Releases on Saturday (Aug 28) regarding the recent surge in Covid-19 cases in New Zealand, it said,” we will be tightening border control measures for travellers with travel history to New Zealand. From 30 August 2021, 2359 hours. Singapore Citizens (SCs), Permanent Residents (PRs) and Long-Term Pass holders entering Singapore with travel history to New Zealand, within the last 21 days before departure for Singapore, will be subject to an on-arrival COVID-19 PCR test a 7-day Stay-Home Notice (SHN) at their place of residence, and a COVID-19 PCR test before the end of the SHN period.”
“Short-term travellers holding an Air Travel Pass (ATP) with travel history to New Zealand, within the last 21 days before departure for Singapore, will not be allowed to enter Singapore.”
Updated Border Measures for Travellers from Jiangsu province, Mainland China
As the situation in Jiangsu province, Mainland China has improved:
From 30 August 2021, 2359 hours, all travellers entering Singapore with travel history to Jiangsu Province, Mainland China, within the last 21 days before departure for Singapore, will undergo a COVID-19 PCR test upon arrival and will be allowed to go about their activities in Singapore if the PCR test result is negative. They will not need to serve a 7-day SHN period.
Short-term visitors with travel history to Jiangsu province, Mainland China, within the last 21 days before departure for Singapore, can apply for an ATP with immediate effect, for entry into Singapore on or after 4 September 2021. They will undergo a COVID-19 PCR test upon arrival and will be allowed to go about their activities in Singapore if the PCR test result is negative.
Travellers who are already serving their 7-day SHN at their place of residence as of 30 August 2021, 2359 hours will still be required to complete their 7-day SHN and exit swab.
All other travellers with travel history to Mainland China (excluding Jiangsu Province) in the last 21 days prior to travel will continue to be subject to a COVID-19 test upon arrival at the airport, in lieu of their SHN.
