Singapore Airlines to temporary suspend Hong Kong stopover for SQ7 from 8 to 20 January 2022

THAI And Singapore Airlines Sign MoU to Forge New Strategic Partnership

From 8 January 2022 to 20 January 2022, Singapore Airlines’ thrice-weekly SQ7 service will operate directly from San Francisco to Singapore, instead of stopping over at Hong Kong. This follows the Hong Kong government’s directive to suspend the entry of travellers from the United States into Hong Kong during this time. Passengers travelling on SQ8 from Singapore to San Francisco (via Hong Kong) will not be affected, Singapore Airlines on Thursday (Jan. 6) mentioned on its Website.

Hong Kong Government on Wednesday (Jan. 5) announced a two-week ban on incoming flights from eight countries and tightened coronavirus restrictions after detecting cases of the Omicron variant.

All incoming flights from Australia, Canada, France, India, Pakistan, the Philippines, the United Kingdom and the United States, including interchanges, would be banned from January 8 to January 21.
