SIA Group relaxed Covid-19 rules on transit flights through Singapore

SIA Group on Tuesday (Nov 22) announced, “All travellers, regardless of vaccination status, will be allowed to transit through Singapore on all Singapore Airlines flights as long as they meet the entry requirements of their final destination.”

Travellers are not required to present a negative pre-departure test result to transit through Singapore. However, they may still be required to produce a valid negative Covid-19 test certificate if it is required for entry into their planned destination.

Transit to Mainland China

The Group said further, “Transit in Singapore to any destination in Mainland China is only allowed for customers travelling on Singapore Airlines and/or Scoot flights, with a minimum connection time of four hours or more. Customers are required to meet the entry requirements into Mainland China, which include a negative PCR test result 48 hours prior to the departure flight from Singapore, and a valid health code from the Chinese Embassy or consulate where the PCR test was taken.”
