Scoot Airlines Launched Vaccinated Travel Lane (VTL) Flights

Tourism Malaysia Welcomes Singapore’s Scoot Resumption of Direct Flights to Kuantan

Scoot has launched Vaccinated Travel Lane (VTL) services to Singapore from the following countries and territories: Australia*, Germany, Hong Kong (SAR), Malaysia, Philippines, Saudi Arabia, South Korea**, Thailand and the United Kingdom (Scoot flight TR753).

Travellers who wish to travel from these destinations to Singapore under the VTL arrangements must ensure that they are on the designated VTL flights. Under the VTL scheme, fully vaccinated travellers may enter Singapore without quarantine if they present negative results from pre-departure and on-arrival COVID-19 tests, and meet all prevailing eligibility requirements. With the exception of travellers from Malaysia, travellers from any other VTL country are allowed to transit through Singapore on VTL flights as long as they are fully vaccinated against COVID-19, hold a vaccination certificate in English, and meet all entry requirements of their destination country.

Travellers who fly on non-VTL flights will undergo prevailing quarantine restrictions in Singapore. Customers are reminded to ensure they are booked on the correct flights.

Designated VTL Flights

*Scoot has started VTL services from Australia. For more information on the Carriage of Passengers Into and Out of Australia.

**A different set of eligibility criteria applies to customers who wish to travel between South Korea and Singapore.

Vaccinated Travel Lane Eligibility Criteria and Health Measures

To enter Singapore under the VTL scheme, travellers must fly on designated VTL flights. Travellers must not have any travel history outside of Singapore or VTL countries in the past 7 days to be eligible for the VTL flights. Travel history may also include Category I countries/regions. Any time spent in Singapore prior to travelling to a VTL country counts towards these 7 days. E.g. if you had spent 10 days in Singapore before flying to Germany, you may return to Singapore on a VTL flight starting from day 4 of your trip.

Travellers must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 with any vaccine in the World Health Organisation (WHO) Emergency Use List.

To be considered fully vaccinated, travellers require two shots of an approved vaccine, or one shot of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine.

Mixing of approved vaccines is accepted.

The final dose must be completed at least 14 days prior to arrival in Singapore.

Travellers must provide a vaccination certificate in English issued by Singapore or the VTL country. All vaccination certificates must be digitally certifiable (i.e. contains a QR code for verification).

Children aged 12 and below, who are ineligible for the COVID-19 vaccination, may travel on VTL flights into Singapore if they are accompanied by an eligible vaccinated individual. Customers are advised to check on the prevailing entry requirements imposed by the countries they are travelling to, including any restrictions on the age of travellers and vaccination status, before booking their flights.

Testing requirements for VTL flights

Travellers entering Singapore need to undergo the following COVID-19 tests:

Pre-departure COVID-19 PCR or professionally administered ART taken within 2 days before departure for Singapore

Supervised self-administered ART at a Quick Test Centre (QTC) or Combined Test Centre (CTC) within 24 hours of arrival in Singapore. The weblink to book the test will be provided to travellers upon entry into Singapore

VTL travellers who recently recovered from COVID-19 (i.e. within seven to 90 days of their last infection before departure to Singapore) are exempted from all Covid-19 testing requirements if they provide appropriate documentary proof of their recovery.
