São Paulo published tender for concession to operate two commuter lines

SÃO Paulo Metropolitan Trains Company (CPTM), which operates commuter services in the São Paulo Metropolitan Region, has published a tender for a 30-year concession to operate and maintain the 41.6km Line 8-Diamond and the 32.5km Line 9-Emerald.

The successful bidder can even oversee the continuing modernisation, extension and improve of the 2 lines, which will likely be funded by way of a Reais 3bn funding outlined within the contract.

A public session for the receipt of bids will happen on March 2 2021.

Line 8 consists of 22 stations, in addition to a maintenance and stabling depot. The successful bidder can even rebuild the presently defunct station in Ambuitá.
