Compared to August 2021, in August 2022 customs registered an increase in the arrivals of foreign visitors of 42.1% and an increase of 19.4% in the departures abroad of the Romanian visitors.
In August 2022, the arrivals in the establishments of tourists’ reception amounted to 1706.0 thousand persons, decreasing by 1.4% compared to August 2021.
In August 2022, the arrivals of Romanian tourists in the establishments of tourists’ reception with functions of tourists’ accommodation were 89.0% of the total arrivals, while the foreign tourists were 11.0%.
In August 2022, the overnight stays in the establishments of tourists’ reception amounted to 4241.0 thousand, decreasing by 5.6% compared to August 2021.
In August 2022, the Romanian tourists’ overnight stays in the establishments of tourists’ reception with functions of tourists’ accommodation were 90.8% of the total overnight stays, while the foreign tourists’ overnight stays were 9.2%.
In August 2022, the average duration of stay was 2.5 days for Romanian tourists and 2.1 days for foreign tourists.
In August 2022, the net use index of accommodation places was 45.4% of total tourists’ accommodation structures, decreasing by 3.0 percentage points compared to August 2021.
In August 2022, the arrivals of foreign visitors in Romania, according to customs, amounted to 1498.6 thousand persons, increasing by 42.1% compared to August 2021.
In August 2022, the departures of Romanian visitors abroad, according to customs, amounted to 2016.9 thousand persons, increasing by 19.4% compared to August 2021.
In the period 01.01-31.08.2022, the arrivals in the establishments of tourists’ reception amounted to 7613.1 thousand persons, 18.3% more compared to the period 01.01-31.08.2021.
In the period 01.01-31.08.2022, the arrivals of Romanian tourists in the establishments of tourists’ reception with functions of tourists’ accommodation were 86.9% of the total arrivals, while the foreign tourists were 13.1%.
In the period 01.01-31.08.2022, the overnight stays in the establishments of tourists’ reception
amounted to 16686.6 thousand, 13.3% more compared to the period 01.01-31.08.2021.
In the period 01.01-31.08.2022, the Romanian tourists’ overnight stays in the establishments of tourists’ reception with functions of tourists’ accommodation were 87.0% of the total overnight stays, while the foreign tourists’ overnight stays were 13.0%.
In the period 01.01-31.08.2022, the average duration of stay was 2.2 days for both Romanian and foreign tourists.
In the period 01.01-31.08.2022, the net use index of accommodation places was 30.3% of total tourists’ accommodation structures, 2.3 percentage points more compared to the period 01.01- 31.08.2021.
The number of tourists arrivals in the establishments of tourists’ reception with functions of tourists’ accommodation in the period 01.01-31.08.2022 recorded higher values in Constanța (1068.6 thousand persons), Bucharest Municipality (917.3 thousand persons) and Braşov (766.1 thousand persons), and while the number of tourists overnight stays in the establishments of tourists’ reception with functions of tourists’ accommodation recorded higher values in Constanța (3555.8 thousand), Bucharest Municipality (1786.4 thousand) and Braşov (1457.7 thousand).
The most arrivals of the foreign tourists accommodated in establishments of tourists’ reception with functions of tourists’ accommodation in the period 01.01-31.08.2022 came from Germany (113.3 thousand persons), Israel (90.3 thousand persons) and Italy (71.2 thousand persons).
In the period 01.01-31.08.2022, the arrivals of foreign visitors to Romania, according to customs, amounted to 8440.2 thousand persons, 92.9% more compared to the period 01.01-31.08.2021.
In the period 01.01-31.08.2022, the departures of Romanian visitors abroad, according to customs, amounted to 11589.6 thousand persons, 53.7% more compared to the period 01.01-31.08.2021.
Arrivals in apartments and rooms for rent registered in August 2022 amounted to 218.2 thousand persons, an increase of 15.1% compared to August 2021.
Of the total number of arrivals, in August 2022, the arrivals of Romanian tourists in apartments and rooms for rent accounted for 94.5%, while the foreign tourists were only 5.5%.
The overnight stays registered in apartments and rooms for rent in August 2022 amounted to 551.2 thousand, an increase of 1.4% compared to those in August 2021.
Of the total number of overnight stays, in August 2022, the overnight stays of Romanian tourists in apartments and rooms for rent accounted for 95.7%, while the overnight stays of foreign tourists registered a percentage of 4.3%.
Arrivals in apartments and rooms for rent registered in the period 01.01-31.08.2022, amounted to
750.0 thousand persons, an increase of 39.3% compared to the period 01.01-31.08.2021.
Of the total number of arrivals, in the period 01.01-31.08.2022, the arrivals of Romanian tourists in apartments and rooms for rent accounted for 93.6%, while the foreign tourists were only 6.4%.
In the period 01.01-31.08.2022, the number of tourist arrivals in apartments and rooms for rent registered higher values in Constanța (187.1 thousand persons), Brașov (115.6 thousand persons), and Bucharest Municipality (93.0 thousand persons).
The overnight stays registered in apartments and rooms for rent in the period 01.01-31.08.2022 amounted to 1674.2 thousand, an increase of 27.7% compared to those in the period 01.01- 31.08.2021.
Of the total number of overnight stays, in the period 01.01-31.08.2022, the overnight stays of Romanian tourists in apartments and rooms for rent accounted for 93.6%, while the overnight stays of foreign tourists registered a percentage of 6.4%.
Overnight stays of tourists in apartments and rooms for rent in the period 01.01- 31.08.2022 registered higher values in Constanța (606.1 thousand), Brașov (214.6 thousand) and Bucharest Municipality (179.1 thousand).
