Qatar reinstated Visa on Arrival policies

Starting December 23, Qatar’s reinstated Visa on Arrival policies, replacing Hayya card requirements. Visitors from more than 95 nationalities now enjoy Visa on Arrival and explore the burst of new attractions that have opened in the lead-up to the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™.

With its distinctive combination of cool weather, pristine beaches and authentic warm Arabian hospitality, Qatar’s visitors and residents can continue to experience the unique, family-friendly atmosphere that made this year’s tournament so special and memorable.

From the exquisite cuisines and culture on offer in Souq Waqif and Katara Cultural Village to soaking up the sights of the Doha Port and Corniche, some of the tournament’s most recognizable hotspots are still open and ready to welcome guests from around the world. Commenting on the latest travel rules, Haya Al-Noami, Head of the Promotions Sector at Qatar Tourism, said: “Looking back at the end of a truly remarkable month of celebrations, we are so proud to have hosted some of the year’s most memorable moments. All visitors under Visa on Arrival to the State of Qatar require:

1. A passport valid for at least six months.

2. Confirmed round-trip ticket.

3. Confirmed hotel reservation in one of the country’s hotels during the visit period. Selected nationalities
require that the hotel booking is done through Discover Qatar.

Visa on Arrival or business visa for a fee and a maximum of (30) days or according to the hotel reservation. Valid hotel reservation via Discover Qatar.

The visa is granted according to the period specified in the Minister’s Decree No. (19) of 2007, which is:

1. Entry visa for a tourist for a period of one month (non-extendable) with a fee of (100) riyals.

2. Entry visa for business for a period of one month and a maximum of three months with a fee of (200)
riyals per month (a business visa requires an invitation letter from a Qatari establishment).
