Victoria has continued its virus-free streak with no new cases of locally found COVID-19 reported in the past 24 hours, from the last 17 days of no community transmission recorded for the state. Three cases had been diagnosed in lodge quarantine and more than 15,000 people had been examined in a single day.
The information comes as Victorians benefit from the long weekend with eased coronavirus restrictions announced yesterday, restrictions on family gatherings have now reverted again to pre-New Yr’s Eve measures with 30 individuals now allowed in a home.
Border restrictions have also relaxed with Greater Sydney – with the exemption of Cumberland – now classified as an Orange zone, Travelers will still need a border to go to enter the state and should receive a COVID-19 tested within 72 hours of their arrival in Victoria, Individuals from Brisbane can even be allowed into the state under the same conditions.
Western Australia can be opening its doorways to people from NSW and Queensland from Monday, travelers will still self-quarantine for 2 weeks before they’re allowed to move about freely.
