Covid-19: Netherlands, Portugal require negative test reports for travelers from China

Netherland New travel rules for travellers arriving from a nation with the color code ‘yellow’

Amsterdam: Netherland new travel rules came into effect on Sunday (Aug 8), mean that travellers arriving from an EU nation with the color code ‘yellow’ on the coronavirus map have to show proof of a fully complete Covid-19 vaccination, a recent recovery from Covid-19 or a negative covid-19 test, anyone age 12 and above must be able to show one of these three certificates when entering the Nation.

The new rule means that any unvaccinated holidaymakers will have to get tested for coronavirus before travelling to the Netherlands. Both PCR tests and antigen tests will be valid, but they can be no more than 48 and 24 hours old respectively. Travellers will have to cover the costs of the tests themselves.

Anyone travelling by car without the necessary papers will risk a fine of 95 euros, whereas those travelling by plane, boat, train, or coach will not be allowed to board the vehicle.
