Netherland lifted Flight Ban, But Compulsory 10 days quarantine for 25 nations

Covid-19: Netherlands, Portugal require negative test reports for travelers from China

The Dutch government has lifted the flight ban imposed on high-risk nations from June 1. But, all travelers from South Africa, India, and South America arriving in the Netherlands will be required to go into quarantine for 10 days.

All travelers will be required to show a quarantine statement and the latest negative Covid-19 test upon arrival within the Netherlands, and will have to quarantine for 10 days but can choose to get tested for Covid-19 after only 5 days in isolation. If the test is negative, they can come out of quarantine, other nations included in the list are Argentina, Bahrain, Bolivia, Brazil , Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cyprus,  Dominican Republic, Ecuador, French Guyana, Guyana, Cape Verde, Lithuania, Maldives, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Seychelles, Suriname, Uruguay, Venezuela, Sweden

The rule applies to all travelers, regardless of their mode of transport.

Failing to comply with the government’s quarantine rule will result in a 435-euro fine.

While the government’s flight ban has been lifted from Tuesday, the EU entry ban remains in effect. Therefore, only travelers who’re exempt from the EU’s travel restrictions will be allowed to enter the nation.

There are, of course, a handful of exceptions to the mandatory quarantine rule. For example, if the travelers are attending a funeral or visiting a sick relative in the Netherlands. However, even if they are not expected to quarantine, all travelers will have to present a quarantine statement.
