Morocco from 7 February removing the ban on international flights and reopening its border for international travellers. In November last year, the country banned international flights and ferry services as the omicron variant spread around the world. Only people with special exemptions could enter.
With the “evolution of the epidemiological situation,” the government has now announced that Morocco will be fully open to tourists on 7 February.
“A technical committee is currently examining the measures to be adopted at border crossings,” a statement from the government says. Specific requirements for tourists to enter will be announced at a later date so watch out for those if you are planning a holiday in the coming weeks.
Visitors should also take into account that once in Morocco, masks and temperature checks are required at cafes, restaurants, cultural sites, on public transport and in taxis.
