Manila-based AirAsia flights to Cebu and Caticlan to depart from NAIA Terminal 3 from Dec 16

AirAsia Philippines advises guests to allot ample travel time in light of the weeklong land transport strike

Manila – AirAsia Philippines, amid the growing holiday-driven foot traffic, has announced that its flight from Manila to Cebu and Caticlan will depart from Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 3 from 16 December 2022.

The transfer is expected to significantly ease the queues and passenger load at the much-smaller NAIA Terminal 4 where the airline operates the remainder of its domestic flights. A total of 109 combined weekly flights will be transferred to NAIA Terminal 3, set to be operated alongside all the international flights of AirAsia Philippines.

AirAsia Philippines Chief Executive Officer Ricky Isla said, “The exponential growth in the holiday demand this year is expected, especially given the fact that travel restrictions today are way more relaxed compared to the previous years’. We are optimistic that by moving our busiest domestic flights to NAIA Terminal 3, we get to alleviate the travel woes of our kababayans in aspects such as queuing, waiting and boarding.”

AirAsia Philippines’ Cebu route posted an 85 percent November load factor, while the Caticlan route achieved a high 90 percent. The airline also remains to fly to Caticlan and Cebu via other regional hubs, such as Clark International Airport and the Mactan-Cebu International Airport.
