Madrid bets on its hotels as spaces for unique experiences

Madrid, Spain: For the seventh year in a row, Madrid’s hotels have once again become gastronomic meeting points around the world of tapas, thanks to the Hotel Tapa Tour, the informal haute cuisine festival. This culinary event, which will be held for ten days in 20 four- and five-star hotels in the capital, has the support of the Madrid City Council Tourism Department, which seeks to promote unique events and experiences in the city.

With appointments like this one, visitors from Madrid themselves can discover the excellent gastronomic experiences that can be enjoyed in the city, specifically in the best hotels in Madrid.

In line with the city’s Strategic Plan, the City Council promotes and supports major events linked to gastronomy and which have already become essential events in the city, since they contribute to enriching tourist, cultural and leisure alternatives of the capital, and to place Madrid among the main national and international gastronomic references.

The presentation ceremony for this new edition of Hotel Tapa Tour held on Friday (Sept 9) in the Royal Hall of the Casa de la Panadería, was attended by the director of Tourism, Héctor Coronel, and the founder of Hotel Tapa Tour, Nona Rubio, who They have been accompanied by the Deputy Director General for the Promotion of Food in Spain (MAPA), Purificación González Camacho; the general director of the Regulatory Council of the DO Ribera del Duero, Miguel Sanz; and the executive vice president of the Madrid Hotel Business Association (AEHM), Mar de Miguel.
