Japan Airlines Updates International Network Plan from November 10

Japan Airlines on Monday (Nov 7) announce the limitation of flights between Japan and mainland China due to the impact of the new Covid-19 cases, the airline issued a press release stating,” Due to restrictions on the number of flights between Japan and mainland China caused by the impact of the new coronavirus infection, we had been operating only flights from Shanghai to Japan on our Shanghai route. In response to the recent easing of restrictions, we have decided to resume flights from Narita to Shanghai (Pudong) on November 10, 2022.”

“We will continue to plan the resumption of these routes in a flexible manner by increasing the number of flights and developing other mainland China routes while monitoring immigration restrictions, the quarantine system, and demand”, the airline mentioned further.

*Sales of Thursday flights will begin around 2:00 p.m.(Japan time) on November 7 for the November-December period and around 2:00 p.m. on November 10 for the January-March period.

The Airline also said, ” the flight JL876 Shanghai-Narita on Saturdays will be canceled from November 19, due to the flight limitation imposed by the Chinese authorities in conjunction with the above-mentioned flight increase. “
