Israel Tourism Ministry allocates NIS 340 million for public tourism infrastructure projects

Israel as a MICE destination

The Israel Ministry of Tourism will head a nine-member Israel delegation at the IMEX exhibition in Frankfurt, Germany from May 31 – June 2, 2022, showcasing the best that Israel has to offer for the MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, Exhibitions) sector.

Exhibitors include hoteliers, convention centres, and tour operators.

The Israeli pavilion will spotlight Israel as a wine tourism destination and offer IMEX visitors a taste of Israeli wine. Israel has a rich heritage of wine production, dating back to biblical times, and in the last decade, the Israeli wine industry has won accolades and awards in prestigious international competitions for its varied wine offerings.

Israel boasts six wine regions, each with its own climatic and topographic characteristics. The country has hundreds of wineries throughout the country, from the verdant Galilee and Jerusalem Hills landscapes to the desert soil in the Negev – some of them built on the same terraces used in biblical times. Traditional methods are employed alongside pioneering agriculture, technology and creativity.Â
