India Extend the Ban on international Commercial Passenger flights till Nov. 30

Sabah To Boost Direct International Flight Frequency

The Indian government on Friday (October 29) has further extended the ban on international flights till November 30. Director-General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) in a circular mentioned the Extension of the ban on Scheduled International Commercial Passenger Service to/from India till 2359 hrs IST of 30th November 2021.

The ban on scheduled abroad flights was to end on the 31st of October after a 19-month gap.

All cargo flights, flights under the bilateral air bubble pacts with select countries will continue to operate, civil aviation said.

“International scheduled flights may be allowed on selected routes by the competent authority on a case-to-case basis,” said the DGCA circular.

Scheduled international passenger services have been suspended in India since 23 March 2020 due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
