New Delhi: A Hyderabad-bound IndiGo flight 6E-1406 from Sharjah was diverted to Pakistan’s Karachi after the pilot reported a technical glitch.
All passengers are safe and it’s a precautionary landing in Karachi, the airline said.
The aircraft is currently being examined at the Karachi airport. IndiGo is planning to send another flight to Karachi to fly the stranded passengers.
“IndiGo flight 6E-1406, operating from Sharjah to Hyderabad was diverted to Karachi. The pilot observed a technical defect. Necessary procedures were followed and as a precaution, the aircraft was diverted to Karachi. An additional flight is being sent to Karachi to fly the passengers to Hyderabad”, the airline said in a statement.
