2020: a yr like no other
The Accor Solidarity endowment fund was arranged in 2008 to assist the struggle economic and social exclusion of individuals at risk of poverty by bettering their employability. Whereas its areas of involvement have remained identical in 2020, the groups have evolved to address wants associated with the crisis and the current scenario.
Accor Solidarity was especially cautious to maintain ties with committed Hearts and the Group’s partner NGOs. Why? With the intention to ensure our help for NGOs – a few of which are in nice issue with the crisis – and our willingness to hold out new tasks.
With ALL – Accor Live Limitless, the endowment fund has also partnered with the Institut Pasteur to help research within the struggle against COVID-19. Members of the loyalty program have been able to donate their Reward points via the “Burn for COVID” challenge, collecting more than €360,000 in 2 months. And more than €660,000 has been donated to the Institut Pasteur via contributions from Accor.
Throughout the year, the endowment fund also supported tasks run by Group workers! Accor Solidarity provided them with technical and monetary help to offer them the means to take sensible action on the ground, as shut as possible to beneficiaries, areas, and native communities.
