Hong Kong is likely to drop its Hotel Quarantine Policy for inbound travellers from early October

Hong Kong: Hong Kong might remove its COVID-19 hotel quarantine policy for inbound travellers from early October, as per the media reports.

On Tuesday (Sep 20), Chief Executive John Lee said during a press briefing, ” “I’m conscious of the need to maintain Hong Kong’s competitiveness by ensuring that we have a good connectivity.”

“We will be announcing the measures once we’ve made the decision about what we’re going to do,” he added.

The decision is likely to be announced next week.

Currently, arrivals must pay for three days in a hotel and follow that with four days of self-monitoring.
