Hong Kong to drop the mandatory PCRÂ COVID-19Â test requirement for international arrivals, the city’s leader, John Lee, announced on Wednesday (Dec 28).
With effect from Thursday (Dec 29), International travelers entering Hong Kong don’t need to go through on-arrival PCR tests. However, wearing masks still remains compulsory.
Vaccine pass that has been required to enter most venues in the city would also be scrapped.
“Infected individuals will still be required to undergo a five-day isolation and can only be released after showing negative results on rapid antigen tests (RAT) on the fourth and fifth days,” SCMP reported.
Inbound travelers will now need to get either a PCR or a rapid test before their journey to Hong Kong.
