Hawaii to lift intercounty travel restrictions from June 15

Hawaii will lift restrictions on intercounty travel beginning June 15 as the vaccination rate picking pace that the state is confident to push to the end line with lucrative incentives that include trips to Las Vegas and a yr’s value of Zippy’s.

With Hawaii on track to reach a 55 % vaccination rate by mid-June, Gov. David Ige laid out plans for the eventual end of the Safe Travels program that has required travelers to test negative for COVID-19 in order to bypass the mandatory 10-day quarantine.

Beginning June 15, quarantine and testing necessities for intercounty travel will end, and quarantine exemptions will also be prolonged to tourists coming into the state who’ve been vaccinated in Hawaii, Ige stated during a news conference Friday.

Once 60 % of the population is vaccinated, Hawaii will begin to accept vaccination cards for trans-Pacific travelers who were vaccinated within the U.S. and are traveling from the continental U.S., Alaska, and U.S. territories.

Once Hawaii reaches 70 %, all restrictions on the journey will be lifted and the Safe Travels program will end, https://travelcorrespondence.com/hawaii-sets-vaccination-target-for-lifting-travel-quarantine/
