WIESBADEN – In February 2023, accommodation establishments in Germany recorded 26.4 million overnight stays of visitors from Germany and abroad. Based on provisional results, the Federal Statistical Office (Destatis) reports that this was a 40.5% increase on February 2022, when there had still been some closures and restrictions due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The number of overnight stays was 11.7% lower than in February 2020, the corresponding month before the Covid-19 pandemic.
