Airlines continue resuming direct flights and further increasing frequencies to already served destinations from Prague. Passengers can pick flights to popular holiday destinations in Europe, enjoy a long weekend or plan a trip to the United Arab Emirates and Qatar, for example. Currently, it is possible to fly to 115 destinations from Václav Havel Airport Prague. In the coming weeks, SkyUp Airlines, Blue Air and Wizz Air are to launch new connections from Prague. The Smartwings group has scheduled to resume flights to Dubai, London and St. Petersburg. More carriers are returning to Prague Airport after a break, such as flydubai, Air Arabia, Ural Airlines and Transavia France.

“Traffic volumes to key destinations have been increasing. This fact contributes to facilitating the renewal of inbound tourism, which is still waiting for its substantial recovery after the pandemic. We work intensively with CzechTourism and Prague City Tourism agencies to support this segment. At the same time, we are finalising the form of our support for outbound tourism to exotic destinations, where we expect significant interest boost in the upcoming winter season,” Jaroslav Filip, Director of Prague Airport Aviation Business, said.

During September 2021, new routes will be launched, namely the Wizz Air’s connection to Naples effective 18 September 2021 and the Blue Air’s service to Milan, Linate Airport, effective 20 September 2021. A new route launch was also announced by the Ukrainian carrier SkyUp Airlines, which will fly between Prague and Kyiv up to three times a week from 23 September 2021, with flights, offered on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays. Other carriers, which have not yet resumed their flights from Prague after the COVID-19 pandemic, also plan to re-launch operations. Ural Airlines will service Moscow, Zhukovsky Airport, again, while Transavia France will start flying to Paris/Orly Airport. There are also available direct routes to Bristol, Nantes, Hamburg and Billund.

Effective September 2021, frequencies will be added on existing routes from Prague, namely by airBaltic on its route to Riga, Latvia, by British Airways to London/Heathrow Airport and by Rossiya Airlines to St. Petersburg. Every day, passengers can now use the connection to Helsinki offered by Finnair, fly to Brussels aboard Brussels Airlines flights and head to Moscow with Czech Airlines or Aeroflot. KLM, Air France and Lufthansa are also increasing the number of frequencies to major European cities, which serve as important transfer points, too.

Passengers can now fly from Václav Havel Airport Prague directly to more than 115 destinations operated by over 45 airlines. In September 2021, it is still possible to fly from Prague to popular holiday destinations, such as Italy, Greece, Bulgaria, Spain, Egypt, the Canary Islands and other places. There are also long-haul flights to Doha, Qatar, and Dubai, which will now be serviced by three carriers, namely Emirates, flydubai and Smartwings. Moreover, Air Arabia will offer passengers direct flights to the Emirate of Sharjah, a driving distance from Dubai.

The current overview of available connections from Prague is to be found by passengers on the airport’s website. Tickets are available for purchase on the respective carriers’ websites.
