Finland lift entry restrictions for travellers from 2 Nations, reinstated restrictions for 3 Nations

Finland extended Restrictions on external border traffic until 5 June

Finnish Government on Thursday (September 2) decided to made few changes to the restrictions on entry at external borders based on current incidence rates, external border traffic refers to traffic between Finland and non-Schengen third countries.

The Government decided to lift entry restrictions for residents of Saudi Arabia and Singapore.

However, restrictions on entry will be reinstated for residents of Australia, Brunei and Ukraine following the increasing trend of coronavirus infections in these countries, said the Ministry of Interior in a press release.

The decision will come into effect on Monday (September 6).

Fully vaccinated travellers with approved certificates may still enter Finland.

If a person arriving from a country subject to the restrictions is not fully vaccinated, the accepted reasons for entry are returned travel to Finland, return travel to other EU or Schengen countries, transit on regular, scheduled flights at an airport or other essential travel.

No other changes will be introduced to the restrictions on entry.
