Emirates and Flydubai suspends flights to and from Iraq

Emirates to return to the pre-pandemic schedule at Manchester Airport with a third daily A380 service

Dubai, UAE: Emirates airlines on Tuesday (Aug 30) announced the suspension of flights to and from Baghdad due to ongoing unrest in Iraq.

In a notification issued on the website, the airline said “Due to reports of civil unrest and curfews in Iraq, the following Emirates flights have been cancelled.”

EK943/ EK944 to/from Baghdad on 30th August

EK941/EK942 to/from Baghdad on 31st August

EK947/948 to/from Basra on 31st August

The Airline further said, “Customers connecting to Baghdad or Basra will not be accepted for travel at their point of origin. We regret the inconvenience caused to our customers.”

Budget carrier flydubai also on Tuesday (Aug 30) announced the cancellation of flights to and from Iraq on August 30 and August 31.
