DGCA asks airlines to strictly enforce Covid-19 protocols

New Delhi, India: DGCA (Directorate General of Civil Aviation) on Wednesday (Aug 17) urge flight operators to ensure that all passengers are wearing face masks all the time throughout the flight and that the required sanitization of the aircraft is maintained by the airline has asked airlines to ensure follow-up of Covid-19 protocols.

This guideline comes in view of the rise in the number of Covid-19 cases.

In a statement, the Directorate General of Civil Aviation said it will be conducting “random checks” in aircraft across the country to see if the Covid-19 protocol is being enforced or not, as per the report.

“In case a passenger does not comply with the directions, strict action will be taken by airlines against the passenger,” it added.
