Cyprus generated €1.51 billion revenue from Tourism in 2021

Cyprus Tourism Revenue in June 2022 recorded a growth of 115% compared to June 2021

Cyprus: As per the data released on Friday (Mar 11) by the Statistical Service of Cyprus (Cystat), revenue from tourism in Cyprus amounted to 1.51 billion euros in 2021 as the country’s tourist industry bounced back from the first pandemic year of 2020.

For the period of January – December 2021, revenue from tourism is estimated at €1.513,6 mn compared to €392,0 mn in the corresponding period of 2020, recording an increase of 286,1% and a decrease of 43,6% compared to January-December 2019 (€2.683,0 mn).

On the basis of the results of the Passenger Survey carried out by the Statistical Service, revenue from tourism reached €54,0 mn in December 2021 compared to €9,1 mn in December 2020 and €54,6 mn in December 2019.
