Over-50 cruise line Saga to require passengers to get COVID-19 vaccine before boarding

Saga Cruises has now the first cruise line to demand passengers get vaccinated against COVID-19 ahead of boarding, as a part of a raft of the latest safety measures.

The over-50s only cruise line is mandating that passengers have the vaccine 14 days earlier than departure.

Saga will even carry out pre-departure testing for all passengers, minimize its capacity on each of its ships and improve its cleaning regime onboard.

It is also pushing its restart date additional out – to May 4 – to permit passengers to get vaccinated in time for their cruise.

“The health and safety of our clients have all the time been our primary priority at Saga, so we have now taken the choice to require everybody traveling with us to be absolutely vaccinated against COVID-19.
